Left work early Saturday for a quick run to Moab for some much needed chill time.  Spent the night in the Kane Creek area and then drove up to Hurrah pass for a look and to stretch my legs a bit.  The weather was stunning, looks like I nailed it between two storms, even if it was a little chilly in the morning.  Had a very good breakfast at Eklectica Cafe, but recommend staying away if its busy, it took almost an hour to get food after I ordered!!

I love the feeling I get when I first leave the pavement and head into Red Rock country, it’s like an instant relief of all my stress and problems and the place I feel closest to who I really am.  It’s too bad I couldn’t stay another day, but the desert will still be here in a few weeks when i’m done working.

Another little moment of glory and some rather embarrassing staged photos can be see in yesterdays Salt Lake Tribune’s Outdoor section or you can just click here I’m reevaluating my spring motorcycle trip, so stay tuned for a modified map, got three weeks before take off, I want this trip to blow my simple mind.  That’s it for today – Oh wait you can always check out other pics from my Moab trip on Flickr.
