Dirt roads, mountain air and desert sand: An amazing summer of adventure and fun
November 2, 2011Feels like summer only started in July and here I am getting my skis ready for snow, dusting off my avalanche talks and thinking about putting the bikes away for winter. Holding out hopes for one last desert rally next week, a solo attempt to link up a bunch of roads I’ve been checking out on maps for years. Stay tuned for that one. Anyway, as a send off to an epic summer 2011 I put together this little slide show to celebrate and remember the good times I shared with my closest friends in the last four months. Enjoy!
As you venture out into the mountains and the snow starts to pile up, don’t forget to check the avalanche advisory and remember, like all things, skills get rusty over the summer – including rescue, route finding and skiing so be careful out there. See you out there somewhere I’m sure.
